Celebrating New Stories
"At this moment in time, the need is great for better schools, better education for all our citizens, and for enlightened leaders who can engage our best imaginations for new possibilities. Our Catholic education stories are filled with people who did just that. ...Today, there are still stories of Catholic educators who dare to imagine a positive future in which education is exciting, guided by purpose and meaning, and which fulfills needs and aspirations of both teachers and learners."
                  - Karen Ristau, NCEA President

What is a "cybrary"?  It's a library and more! The word "cybrary" is a multi-faceted and evolving term. In regards to the mission and vision of St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School, the term cybary refers to the physical and virtual information collections and services provided to its students within, but not limited to, a physical space. The Cybary of  St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School supports the curricular and recreational research and reading needs of the school community.  Cybary mission includes supporting these needs and encouraging the development of independent thinking skills, information, literacy, communication, and life-long learning.

Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas,
Patron of Catholic Schools
January 28, 2012

Prayer for Our Students:
St. Thomas, protect, foster, and nourish the young women and men whom we are called to serve. Give them a keen understanding of what is most essential and important to know and an ever-deepening appreciation for learning. Give them the grace to move forward in their studies with confidence and purpose. Help them to acquire the skills necessary to become independent thinkers. Imbue them with an awareness and appreciation of their unique giftedness. And ultimately may they, as students of the living word of God, learn "to act justly, to love tenderly, and to walk humbly with their God."
